The members of Vamanos are experienced musicians who share a common passion for this infectious style of music; entry to the band is by audition only. The band's repertoire includes the powerful and energetic Samba Batucada from Rio, the hypnotic and trancey Afro-Cuban 6/8, the voluptuous sounds of Bata and Cuban Carnival, and a fruity fusion of Hip Hop/Cuban/Brazilian percussion. Vamanos perform at festivals, parties, carnivals, weddings, nightclubs etc all over the South of England and Europe. The band also provides samba workshops, excellent for team building and the development of leadership skills, for both educational and corporate clients. Founded in September 2006 by Paul Wilkinson, the band is based in Littleham, North Devon.
